After years of work Ericsson was ready to release his new brand identity, our job was to re-design the main website ericsson.com (visited by millions each month) to implement the new brand. At the same time, we discovered different issues we solved redesign flows and entire sections. Part of the solution was to build a Design System as well.
ericsson.com ⇢The new Ericsson.com needs helps to re-make their global platform, they have different challenges, from a new platform and reorganize part of the website, at the same time implement the new brand identity. The challenge for our team was to improve KPIs and accomplish the new goals for the website.
As the UX Designer of the team, my job was to created new templates and blocks (which are optimised for certain type of content and guidance); re-structure certain areas, create other (Blogs and Events); and create guidelines for the editors and journalist who use the website. We made workshops with different stakeholders (Impact Mapping and Design Studios) and organize the job/goals with other design teams.
At the same time, we start to build a Design System, which is going to be used for other marketing and content websites, outside of ericsson.com. The idea is to create and unique experience across different platforms for the users and make it easier for all the editor, developers and designers around the world use the Ericsson's brand book.
