Mingamos had the challenge to help NGOs track better the job of his volunteers, to help them to achieve their tasks and goals. They built a new social network (app) and a CRM for the administrators/managers.

Situation

Mingamos it’s a SaaS platform used for NGO to administrate their volunteers (hours and work). They decide to re-design the platform to make it more efficient and easier to use.

Goals

Change the Information Architecture and redefine the priorities per user. The main goal was to clean the app and make it in a way the user can focus easier in their task they needed to complete. This was achieved by applying “Material Design” to the platform in a way it was intuitive and easier to use.

Result

Analysing how the users (volunteers and administrators) interacted with the platform, we decided that splitting it in two different products was the best decision. We created an App for the volunteers and a Web for the administrators. With this we cleaned and simplified the workflow, gaining more attention in the actual actions users needed and use in the everyday work. We gave the web a better look and feel, focusing our efforts on really highlighting the important data: numbers and charts. The app was completely redesign applying Material Design, giving the volunteers a more intuitive and faster feeling.
